In a tiny apartment, an errant hair elastic can feel like it’s encroaching on your living space.

Says the chick who is living in a 240-square-foot apartment with her fiance.

I really don’t get this. They’re paying $1500 for a tiny loft in Brooklyn. I know of much better deals in Manhattan, and I’m sure there are larger apartments for the same amount in Brooklyn as well. If they were paying half that, or the apartment were in a high-demand area like the West Village, I would just roll my eyes at New York and move on, but this? For some reason, this damn near offends me. I know New York real estate (rightly) gets a bad rap, but there ARE deals to be found here, and $1500 for 240 square feet is not one of them.

This is the stupidest thing I have seen in a long time. We live in a 2 bedroom in Park Slope and our rent is close to theirs. This is what happens when people just give up and pay whatever for a shitty space.

Dummies.
